Egypt’s citizenship-by-investment programme is the only one in the Arab world that grants a full nationality against a defined investment. It matters most to people who need a passport, a secure legal identity or an Arabic-speaking base: families whose documents are uncertain, and business owners who want unrestricted access to a market of more than 100 million people.

The programme runs through a dedicated government unit with four options, from a non-refundable contribution to a bank deposit returned after three years. Our five branches in Cairo and Alexandria handle the file locally.

How it works

Who can be included

Spouse and minor children are included in the same application; adult children need a separate application.

  1. A consultant confirms your eligibility and the best option, and reviews your source of funds and record.
  2. The file is prepared: passports, birth certificates, clean-record and medical certificates and proof of funds, translated and legalised.
  3. The application is submitted to the citizenship-by-investment unit and the funds are transferred to the designated account or the purchase completed.
  4. Security and government reviews are carried out on the file.
  5. The grant is issued, you take the oath, and national identity cards and Egyptian passports are issued for the family.

Questions people ask

Talk to a consultant: Assess my case

Is the bank deposit returned?

Yes, after three years, in Egyptian pounds at the exchange rate prevailing at the time and without interest. These terms change from time to time, so we confirm them before you transfer.

Do I have to live in Egypt?

No. There is no residency requirement before or after citizenship; a short visit for the oath and documents is enough.

Who is this programme for?

People who need a legal nationality or secure travel documents, families who want an Arab base, and investors who want to own and trade in Egypt as citizens.

Can I keep my current nationality?

Egypt allows dual citizenship and does not ask you to renounce. We recommend checking your home country’s position on holding a second nationality.
